Description:
The primary goal of this course is to provide an integrated approach to the study of geometric relationships. The following topics included in this program are: congruence and similarity of triangles, transformations, coordinate geometry, formal and informal proofs and properties of triangles, quadrilaterals and circles. It is a requirement that all students take the Geometry Common Core exam at the end of this course.
Materials Needed:
1) pencils
2) notebook
3) TI-84 graphing calculator (recommended)
4) compass and ruler (will be provided)
Classroom Policy:
1) All students will be expected to behave in a manner that does not disrupt the learning process. I expect everyones attention when I am speaking to the entire class.
2) Students are expected to show respect to teachers and to other students as well. I will not tolerate any behavior that is demeaning or disrespectful to other people in my classroom.
Grading Policy
50% of your grade will be from tests, 25% from quizzes and 25% from homework assignments
Extra Help
If at any time you are having trouble understanding the material, please talk to me about it. I am available for extra help everyday during lunch and almost every day after school.
